 4 people were killed and 15 were injured when the army opened fire on the village

On March 13th, at 4:00 p.m., the military council unit stationed in Aung Zeya Ward near Shwe Taung U, west of Chin Dwing Bridge, opened fire on Silong village without a fight. Daw Mya Than, Daw Htay Myint, Daw Shwe Mi, U Po Shay was died and 15 others were injured.

“We didn’t have time to avoid shooting for no reason. 3 heavy weapon fell in the village. 6 houses were destroyed beyond repair. 4 people inside the houses were killed. The age was between 50s and 60s. Their names were Daw Shwe Mi, Daw Mya Than, Daw Htay Myint, and U Po Shay. 15 people was injured including children. Some people with non-critical injuries but some with leg and arm amputations. Cows have also died. The damage is not yet known because there are reports that there will be more attack,” said a local resident.
